雪梨活動:
麻雀比賽暨新年聯歡晚宴
已定於二月十日(週六)下午至晚上假卓士活金福魚翅海鮮酒家舉行。

先在下午3:30
開始麻雀比賽，分三個回合舉行，非比賽時會友可自行組局玩耍，晚上
7:00 舉行聯歡晚宴，有美食、遊戲及幸連抽獎。費用為$40 一位。
由於麻雀枱數有限，報名參加麻雀比賽或玩耍的朋友需要預早報名
(參加者必需滿 18 歲或以上，會員及非會員皆可參加)，比賽的規例到時會作宣佈，出賽者請於 3:20 到場報到。麻雀比賽設有獎狀及獎品給予優勝者，報名費用全免。

第三屆「理大校友綠化香港植樹活動」

大埔海濱公園
|
植樹活動吸引了逾千位校友及家人參與，共種了五千多棵植物，不但為綠化香港盡一分力，同時亦為香港公益金及理大籌得善款，可謂一舉三得。
我們理大澳洲員生會亦再次贊助這項活動，今屆並由會長劉若山及會員劉倩如代表員生會親身參與。

Reception will start at 6:00pm, AGM starts at 6:30pm and evening /dinner programme starts at 7:00pm. This year we shall have 3 guests from the PolyU to join our function - President Prof. Poon Chung-Kwong, Vice President (Research & Development) Prof. Ko Jan Ming and Aide to the President Mrs. Amy Soo. This year's event will feature speeches, entertaining performances and lucky draw. Tickets are just $40 per head.

Seminar/Dinner Function
at the Aspects of Asia Chinese Restaurant, Eastwood

Starting at 6:30pm is a seminar with speaker Dr. David Ho, Doctor of Medicine and Senior Research Scientist working at the Westmead Hospital, the topic will be called "Healthy LIfe". David is a well known speaker on health, meditation and related topics. He also teaches qiqong and tai chi in his spare time. The talk will be conducted in Cantonese. Dinner will start at 7:30pm, there will also a lucky draw and a short talk by our life member and Hon. Auditor Henry Au on the EACH (Elderly Australian Chinese Homes) Castle Hill Elderly Home project. Henry can also answer any questions regarded elderly home care. Cost per head will be $30.

在今年瑞午節的日子(在澳洲當日並非公眾假期)，我們香港理工大學澳洲員生會一行委員被雪梨香港經濟貿易辦事處(Hong Kong Economic &
Trade Office, Sydney)邀請到雪梨的Four Seasons Hotel 參加其主辦的特別自助餐午宴，並同其他雪梨的華人社團代表一齊會見正在外訪澳紐的香港財政司長唐英年先生。唐英年司長當日祇穿便服，親善地同眾人握手打招呼，並在講台上給嘉賓講述香港最新的發展和未來的展望，亦鼓勵大家多些訪港及尋求投資和發展機會。唐司長當日在午宴後已要前往機場乘機回港，正式結束是次澳紐之行。

四月廿二日一個晴朗並秋高氣爽的周末，逾百人一齊出席由香港理大澳洲員生會及「美食入廚樂」電台節目合辦的南部高原香素美食一日遊活動，於雪梨乘坐旅遊車出發，遊覽Mittagong、Berrima及Robertson等歴史小鎮並參觀Farmgate薰衣草花園。該美食團由節目主持劉太及劉若山會長等帶領，同行的嘉賓好友眾多，有名作家黃錢其濂、李芷萱、梁飛霞等，特別嘉賓是由墨爾本專程前來参加的當地僑領徐啓成太平紳士，徐先生亦是員生會維省代表，大家都談笑風出，友誼增長不少。

1) Dr. Frank Kwong-Kong YAN, a Medical Specialist, will talk about Respiratory and Digestive System Diseases and their Protection. His topics will include Sleep Apnea, Asthma, Emphysema, Pulmonary Disease, Pharynx and Larynx.
2) Mr. CEUNG Kai-Pui, our member and Founding and Honorary President of the Australian Tai Chi & Cultural Association, will talk about Tai Chi and how the exercise can help the human body attain longer life. His talk will include live demonstration of Tai Chi.
